Arguably the handsomest locomotive ever built, the PA, with its six-foot long nose, will not be confused with any other locomotive of its era. Mounted on 15 1/2 foot wheel-base trucks, the distinctive car body was smooth riding at any speed.

Life Like is proud to announce the second release of this popular diesel. The PROTO 2000 PA/PB units feature intricate road-specific details including Mars light, dual or single headlight, dynamic brakes and straight or 45-degree number boards. Equipped with a dynamically-balanced, five-pole skew wound motor with superrite anisotropic magnets, along with a heavy, die-cast chassis and all wheel electrical pick-up, the model guarantees realistic scale speeds and smooth, powerful pulling. The PA is DCC ready with an NMRA compatible plug, and both PA and PB models come with PROTO 2000 couples installed.
